Holland N200 hardwired night delineation
Click the picture left for video footage about the installation. This film, produced by the province of Noord-Holland, The Netherlands, gives a view of the installation on the N200. The take was made at a driving speed of 80 km/h which is the maximum speed allowed on the stretch. The total system, comprising of the monitoring the functioning of the systems' components, illumination by means of inductive loop detection and the Flush-Stud active marking light units, has been awarded the NSVV Light award 2005, which was presented to the Noord-Holland province. The province functions as a pioneer for the introduction of energy effective and society conscience lighting systems in The Netherlands. The Noord-Holland province operates the largest number of systems of active marking in The Netherlands.

Note the effect on vehicle breaking and therefore reduced speeds on approaching the crossing even with no pedestrians on or near the crossing itself as the crossing is highlighted by the Astucia flashing road studs.
